Hello humans! An update, golly gee!
After nearly a year of silence (nothing new there), I've come to you with an update!
Yes, as stated in my last update, I have been working on a new notebook full of notes, as a notebook should have. Well, that damn notebook is now a binder. The transferring of notes was gruelling, but necessary. Having so much of a world fleshed out requires a staggering amount of organization, something of which is not easy, as so many things criss cross with each other, I fear that this great book of notes is almost as messy as it were when they were sporadic mess, only now everything is catalogued.
After I felt comfortable with the amount of effort gone into note making, I began to flesh out a story web for Division, which thoroughly failed. There, I was already facing my first bump in the road. How in the actual fucking hell do I actually build one? Admittedly, the last time I put such thought into building a story had been in middle school some 12 or 13 years ago. Where in the fuck do I go from there?
Well, forgoing the web, I jumped right in. And just as quickly, I noped the fuck out. That wasn't going to work.
With the birth of my son, that also added to the bumps. Who knew having a child was so time consuming? It very quickly became a very busy time of my life.
However, now that things have begun to slow down as my son comes up to his first year, I've had the time to sit down and begin again. This time, I've begun to look at my project from a different angle. Perhaps jumping right into the frying pan hadn't been what was to work the best.
As such, I've taken a look at individual characters in Division, and have decided to delve into their individual lives in a collection of short stories. Origin stories that, each, will lead into the story of Division. Thus far, it has worked beautifully.
If you have seen my artwork on this page, some of you will know of Citra, my dark skinned, voluptuous host of a goddess. Thus far, I have torn into a large chunk of her story. The words are flowing forth in something resembling a story, a rough story, but a story non-the-less.
So, within the next few weeks, expect a lovely chunk of story to appear out of the blue. Or not.
